In celebration of the phenomenal work MotherWoman’s supporters make possible, we are wrapping up our series of “Dining with Friends” events with this “Dessert Finale,” featuring some well-deserved inspiration and entertainment. This celebration is our way of giving back to those who do more for moms. Please come and let us celebrate you! 10:00 a.m. Holyoke Farmers Market The Holyoke Farmers Market is one of the oldest farmers markets in the country, marking our 36th season of providing fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers! The market is a great place to enjoy time with family and friends with fun events, such as cooking demonstrations, music, and dance classes, all season long.

12:00 p.m. Free Lunch For Veterans.  Full meal served (salad, entree, vegetable, dessert and beverage) until 1:30 p.m. Holyoke Veterans Services, 310 Appleton St.

3:30 p.m. Holyoke Farmer’s Market First Annual Cook-Off  The Holyoke Farmers Market is planning the first ever “Holyoke Farmers Market Cook-Off” to be held on August 31st at 3:30 PM during our weekly market.  This year we will have Mayor Alex Morse, Chief James Neiswanger, Chief John Pond, and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stephen Zrike battle each other out for the title of best cook. City Hall,  High Street.

4:30 p.m. Learn to Play Ukulele with Julie Stepanak Join us on Monday, August 14 at 4pm for ukulele lessons from Julie Stepanek! She brings her 20 ukuleles and lessons to get the participants playing! This event is FREE, FUN and LIMITED to 20 participants! Please register by calling 413-420-8101 to reserve a ukulele.
